03 — The Story

I wrote these songs in rented rooms and the quiet hours between jobs.

I am a writer, a dreamer, a surfer, and a musician — in whatever order the day demands. These songs are mine, tracked across California and Washington between 2000 and now.

Some were cut on a four-track cassette in a Santa Monica apartment with the windows open to the freeway. Some were sung once into a laptop at 3 a.m. in Seattle and never touched again. They moved with me through six cities and twenty-five years, surviving hard drives, boxes, and the belief that I would eventually come back for them.

The polished versions here were re-performed and refined with the help of AI, so the songs could finally sound the way they always did in my head. Nothing was invented. The raw originals are still here, unchanged, for anyone who wants to hear where they started.

This is the archive, finished at last. I hope you find something in it.
